What is copyright infringement as far as music goes?

Are The Following Things Copyright Infringement?
Burning cds
Downloading music without paying for it ex: limewire
Ripping Cds
I would like a nice clean cut answer please but explain a little not just yes or no

    Unauthorized use of material that is covered by a copyright. If the company has authorization it is ok otherwise it is infringement.
