My high school copied the Pirates of the Caribbean logo and put it on the front of my yearbook. I think that they should be reported because they weren’t very creative ripping off a logo and the yearbook itself was poorly designed. How do I report them to Disney? Thanks. The school does make money off of the yearbook. Also, it’s a poorly run high school with bad teachers and bad education program. I would be doing the students a favor if the school went bankrupt and they had to go to another school. So, what are the chances of legal actions being taken if I report them?

Is there a number that I can call to report a copyright infringement on a photo?
A customer got away with making copies of a blatantly copyrighted photo. I want to do something about this, instead of just sitting by and letting it go unpunished. Yes I work at the store where it happened, but one of the managers at the store pretty much ignored what I said, and gave the customer the photos anyway. Needless to say, I no longer work there. The only reason it makes me so mad, is because this guy was going crazy on me, cursing me up and down. I was afraid for my life, management should have kicked him out. But because he acted like a lunatic, he got what he wanted.

Where can I report anonymously about massive music&movie piracy in an office in Nairobi Kenya Hazina Towers?
Hazina Towers is the name of the building in Nairobi Central Business District. On the 6th floor of this building is Xtreme Videoz. Here they sell any latest movie, music,tv series and anything for 50 shillings which is about 0.7US$. They just copy what you want to a blank imation dvd disk and you have your movie. The place is always packed and I estimate about 500 people come to buy here. It is strategically located just in the Nairobi CBD. If cinemas do not take care this place is going to drive them out of business given the magnitude it attracts. Where could I possibly report this crime against Hollywood?
How do I report a person for piracy?
I know someone who is absolutely a pirate of everything. He pirates copies of operating systems, games, movies, TV shows, music, you name it… He says that it’s perfectly fine to steal from people and that he shouldn’t have to pay for anything. The net value of everything he pirated would have to be close to $10,000. He has copies and programs still on his computer with everything he stole… I mean, even his operating system is stolen. I want him to stop pirating so much because he gets very hostile when it’s recommended that he stops breaking the law, and I’m honestly afraid for him. I would like to know how to report him to the authorities so that he gets his computer confiscated and is forced to pay for everything he stole. Do I just call the police? Is there a form to print out? Please point me in the right direction, thanks. He is keeping it for himself and distributing select things to other people. I don’t know if he’s selling it, persay. And no, I have nothing to hide. I have never took and will never take something that is illegal. My grandfather was a programmer and my cousin is an author, and I see how consumers stealing their hardwork can put a financial burden on them. Let them go ahead and take my computer — they will find nothing. I wouldn’t bother reporting if this was just “oh I downloaded X and X movie,” but over $10,000, and then name calling/hitting/rage when suggesting that what he is doing is illegal? I fear for my life when I’m around him and he takes time away from normal activities to go on the computer and download more illegal stuff. I want him to step away from this because I know he has a problem. This is why I want to report.

How do I report possible copyright infringement of software?
I have come across 2 online games, both are free with options to pay for upgrades. They have maybe 20 percent difference between the two of them – menus, terms, even graphics and design are extremely similar. There is such a similarity between the two that I feel obligated to report this to someone. It’s not obvious whose design came first, and so I’d rather not alert the companies themselves. What objective organization could I contact that would deal with copyright law for software? I believe both companies are based in the US, as am I. In response to the first answer – I am not talking about borrowing broad concepts. I mean that the software is identical in material, except for a very few additional features on each site. Absolutely identical, there can be no mistaking it. It would be similar to taking a thesis and tacking on one chapter, not like writing a paper on the same subject.
