I look on some forums of the upcoming game Bioshock 2 and people complained about the security measures to prevent piracy. Like DRM. What is exactly people are complaining about? Isn’t that just to see if you have the game disc and allow you only to install a certain amount of times?All they have to do is pop in the disc and play. Plus some games(like bioshock) require internet connection to confirm it. it takes like a minute to do that and yet people complain. One of my surprises is that people complain the limit of installing bioshock(which is 15!). Jesus. How many times do you install a game.. maybe like 3 times for reformat or virus, but installing it 15 times… they must suck at computers. Can anybody tell me why they are complaining?? Or is it just the poor people and piraters?

Is there anyway to install AND play the following games: The Sims 2 Bon Voyage The Sims 2 FreeTime The Sims 2 Teen Style Stuff Pack The Sims 2 Kitchen & Bath Stuff Without having SecuROM installed on my computer. Because, quite frankly, I don’t trust Sony. Links to your sources would be much appreciated! I already have H&M and Teen Style installed (before I knew about SecuROM) and have not had any problems. Does this mean it would be “safe” to install the games normally? I have Vista. (Unfortunately.) And a DVD/CD driver that can also function as a burner, though I’ve never burnt anything. Why do the pirates get to bypass these problems altogether, why honest customers (I’m a customer, not a consumer damn it!) have to put up with this $#%@? So much for “anti-piracy”.

Is it copyright infringement to let my customers play video games in my café?

I run a small café. I understand that I must have a license to show a movie without infringing copyright laws. Are there any such copyright laws to disallow me to let people play video games? I would like to set up a Playstation or a Wii or something that the patrons can play free of charge.

i randomly thought of this,you can gets games free on computer by hacking or piracy soo in theory couldn’t you do the same with a games on demand game if some one paid for it then uploaded it then if you changed the 360 id attached to it then save it to your profile and hard drive wouldn’t that work or if some one else has a idea im jw if its possible that all
how did wii games become 720p? does the original data on the wii disk contain it? (not asking about piracy)?

i am not asking how to pirate wii games or where to download it, i am just curious , i am asking how a video game system that plays games in 480p was able to be up-scaled to 720p on a computer program? my theory is that certain wii games raw data contain the 720p quality, but is scaled down due to the wii’s technical limitation. i mean how else would they get it like that? i hope to see my favorite wii games in HD if nintendo comes out with a new console. i also hope the Wii 2 will have gamecube compatibility.

Is their any software that will help you play pirated games? As in, play directly from the disc, not using an .iso or daemon tools? And if you are going to comment on how piracy is bad then don’t comment at all. Answer that is most specific will be best answer.
