If I’m discussing the aspects of a game me and others are developing, and I refer to a different game as an example for expressing an aspect of the game in development, would I be considered to be “stealing” ideas from the referenced game?

I want to know if I’m allowed to use a game image (ex: Mario’s Hat) in a logo of a website that deals with selling Nintendo games.
If not, is there a way around it like personally drawing it and having the M switch with the sites initials?

I’d like to have the GTA Vice City soundtrack from my video game, but I’m not sure how to get the .WAV or what ever proprietary file format the music is in onto my my computer. I am also not sure if that is stealing or not. When I buy a video game, am I buying all aspects of all information contained within it, or am I just buying the physical device (cd, cartridge, whatever) and the license to play the game? Or am I buying everything within including the music?

ok, i have Aion installer (its free so no piracy here) and ive downloaded it (unmetered), it was about 10gb and took ages, now, i need to burn the whole thing to dvd’s for a friend because they don’t want to have to download all that, then unzip it and install it and all, and i would like a copy for if anything happens to my computer.
i prefrably don’t want to install anything to do this tho, my main problem is the Cabnet 2.cab folder at just over 10gb.
the disk’s won’t have to work like the “insert disk 2″ style so i don’t care if my friend has to copy it to the hard drive 1st.
I have ImgBurn for Burning stuff and a few DVD+R’s to burn to.
So how can i burn a 10gb data file to 3 DVD’s? is it possible to split the .cab file to smaller bits to be burnt then the parts copied to hard drive for use?
ok, what format does it compress to? im hoping zip, i use 7-zip, its just like winzip i think but without the “you have to buy me or ill spam the daylights out of you” messages that pop up that i really don’t want my friend to have to endure.
7-zip it also does .rar files
ok, your splitter seems like a great program and all (im gona keep it) but it doesn’t have a “DVD” option and i keep gettn “Runtime error ‘6′ overflow”
found out that 7-zip has same option as winzip lol

Why Don’t the Video Game Companies Allow Us to Download a Copy of ALL Their Past Game Titles for a Fee?

I’m not really a fan of buying physical copies of games, unless I can’t legally get it any other way. I prefer downloading the games for the convenience and you don’t have to worry about them getting damaged. You might say that they are already doing this, but why not with ALL of their past titles? I enjoy some of the old school games that are unavailable to me legally through downloading. Also, this would be another great opportunity for the video game companies to make more money.
Some kind of system similar to Steam (By Valve) would be ideal for this method.
This goes for all (Mainly the Popular Titles) Video Games including Computer Games.
Unless you can’t think of any other reason, Please don’t answer this question with “It Promotes Piracy.” I know that piracy is immoral and I don’t practice it.
