I’m looking for examples of companies that have been sued for copyright infringement of images. I want this to show my company it’s something to worry about. – Ideally, I’d love examples of people who use images on webpages. Links appreciated.

My ISP records are being subpoenaed and I am scared stupid. I am a college student and the $150,000 cap scares me. I didn’t know it was copyrighted when I downloaded it. Is it better to settle or fight?

I am currently making a website that rates video games. For each game i was going to make a profile page with a main image of the game. I am aware that copying and pasting images is illegal, however i need to find a way to add images relatively easily. This is due to the fact that I am going to have atleast a few hundred games on my website by the time it launches. Are there any other ways to add images to the website relatively easily?

My friends make their own Mother Grandma videos after being inspired by the originals on YouTube. They have their own plots and such, but it circles around my friend being Mother Grandma. They are shortly going to post them on YouTube. I was wondering if this is considering illegal or what not.

I am writing a book, and it is a fictional fantasy book. I have this tribe in the story, they aren’t the cat women you see on Batman and in comic-books, they are actual half-women, half-cats, they have facial features of cats, not silly like Cat In The Hat, they are serious and have features of cats. DC Comics have used a human catwoman, so have Marvel. They are two of the biggest rivals of the century, and my cat women are totally different to theirs. Do you think I would be ok to include feline ladies in my story?

A customer got away with making copies of a blatantly copyrighted photo. I want to do something about this, instead of just sitting by and letting it go unpunished. Yes I work at the store where it happened, but one of the managers at the store pretty much ignored what I said, and gave the customer the photos anyway. Needless to say, I no longer work there. The only reason it makes me so mad, is because this guy was going crazy on me, cursing me up and down. I was afraid for my life, management should have kicked him out. But because he acted like a lunatic, he got what he wanted.
